Claire Westmacott, Evaluation Coordinator
A year away from graduating with a double major in Environmental Studies and English at the University of Toronto, Claire will be working with the Centre for Environmental Health Equity through a work-placement position with her Environmental Studies program. Claire was born in England, but has spent most of her life in Canada. She graduated high school through the International Baccalaureate program and is looking forward to finishing her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2013. After graduation, Claire plans to pursue graduate studies in environmental health and hopes to undertake research on the health effects of environmental conditions in urban centres such as Toronto. Having previously interned with FIDA-PCH, an organization providing co-operative opportunities in Haiti, Claire has an interest in both the global and domestic inequities that exist and inhibit a healthy, sustainable life. For over 6 years, Claire has also been a volunteer with KidsAbility Centre for Child Development, a children’s treatment centre providing rehabilitation services to children with varying disabilities.
